Mount Up, Rider!

 

Under the reign of Louis XIV, in 1662, the state purchased the Normandy property of Le Pin to establish a national stud farm.

The 1,200-hectare estate was designed by Le Nôtre and Mansart. The buildings were completed in 1730. The first royal stud, it is nicknamed the "Versailles of the horse."
